What to Expect at Launch

• Smart Cards (including Reduced Fare Cards), available at LANTA Transportaion Centers
• Limited-Use Cards for occasional riders
• Full integration with the Transit App

“We’re excited to roll out ValleyRide on August 12,” said LANTA Executive Director Owen O’Neil. “With this system, riders will tap once and know they’re always paying the lowest fare available.”

Features at Launch

• Account-Based Ticketing: Riders load funds into a ValleyRide account; fare is automatically deducted with each ride.
• Fare Capping: Riders automatically earn 3-hour, Day, or 31-Day pass pricing based on usage.
• Payment Methods:
  • Smart Cards ($5 each, preloaded with a $2 fare)
  • Limited-Use Cards
  • Transit App

Post-launch: Token Transit passes will be accepted through August 31, 2025. Riders are encouraged to continue using Token Transit until ValleyRide officially launches.

Looking Ahead

Phase 2 of ValleyRide is expected to launch in late January, 2026, and will introduce credit and debit card tap-to-pay directly at fare validators.
